Community Spotlight: Campfires & Motors, RV Life YouTubers Ashley & Steve Gallaher

Ashley Gallaher • December 18, 2025

We recently had the chance to sit down with Jennifer, one of the hosts of the Learn to RV Podcast, and it was a great conversation that took us back to the very beginning of our full-time RV journey. In the podcast, we shared who we are as a family, why we chose to sell the house, get rid of (most of) our stuff, and hit the road. We talked about what life really looks like when your home has wheels. It was less about highlight reels and more about honest moments, learning as we go, and figuring things out one mile at a time

We also talked about how Campfires and Motors came to be, starting as a simple idea to document our travels and slowly growing into a way to connect with others who dream of a different kind of life. The road has taught us patience, flexibility, and the value of time together, and we enjoyed sharing those lessons with listeners who may be thinking about RV life themselves.

One of the things we appreciated most about the conversation was the chance to encourage others who feel stuck or unsure about taking a big step. We shared that you do not need everything figured out to begin, just a willingness to start and adapt along the way. Our hope is that this episode helps listeners feel a little more confident, inspired, and excited about what is possible when you choose a life driven by experiences instead of routines. Be sure to check out the podcast to hear the full story and discussion!

We have documented our journey from the beginning, and it’s been a fun, educational and interesting ride! You can follow along on our YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/@CampfiresAndMotors or check out our website https://campfiresandmotors.com/ and connect with us.

If you’re a full-time RVer, you already understand something most people don’t....that life doesn’t always go according to plan. You’ve chosen freedom. Flexibility. The ability to wake up in a new place whenever you want. But with that freedom comes a unique responsibility—especially when it comes to your health insurance. Because when you’re constantly on the move, having the right coverage isn’t just important… it’s critical. And recently, I was reminded exactly why.
