The Road We Share

Friends in the RV World are Special Indeed.

Before we begin, we want to take a moment to say thank you to Barbara Lyons for the gracious invitation to be part of the Ladies Luncheon at the Family RV Association 112th International Convention and to give us the opportunity to share a little bit of our heart with this remarkable group of women.

The Family RV Association community means the world to us & everything we do at Learn to RV The Podcast and LearnToRV.com is rooted in one simple belief: that community matters, and we want to see it thrive, grow, and carry on for generations of RVers to come. It is an honor to be in this room with you today.

The Road We Share

Hey friends, pull up a chair and sit down for a spell,

We've got something important we're wanting to tell.

We're Jennifer and Tasha, from Learn to RV,

And we're honored to be here with this fine community.

We came for the rallies, the sessions, the fun,

For the crafts and the maestros and all that gets done.

For the education, the seminars, row after row,

For the things about our coaches we didn't yet know.

The Family RV Association brought us all here,

With a calendar full of the things we hold dear.

The hookups, the handbooks, the technical talks,

The vendors, the exhibits, the fairground walks.

But somewhere between the first cup of coffee poured,

And the last dinner table, something we couldn't ignore ...

Something shifted, something settled, something real,

It was never just the schedule.

It was always the meal.

The meal around the table where somebody said,

"I felt so alone on the road".

 and you nodded your head.

Where a stranger became a sister before the night was through,

Where someone who needed a friend & found you.

Because that's what this community does, isn't it?

It shows up. It sits down. It stays a little bit.

It passes the butter and listens real well,

And carries your story like it's its own story to tell.

We talk about RV life every week on the show,

The rigs and the routes and the things good to know.

But the episodes that hit different, the ones people share?

They're always the ones about community and care.

So here's to the ladies who show up and stay,

Who carry each other through mile after mile, day after day.

Who knew that a rally is lovely, a session is grand...

But what matters most is a friend who will stand.

Wherever you're rolling, whatever road calls your name,

May you carry the warmth of this luncheon's sweet flame.

The FMCA brought us all here, it's true

But the friends that we've found here?

(no matter what we call it today)

We carry them too.

And now, before you roll out and the open road calls

A blessing for every rig, every family, every hall:

May your roads be smooth and your skies be clear,

May the miles ahead be filled with joy and good cheer.

May your slides go out easy and your engine run strong,

May you always find your people wherever you belong.

May the campfires be warm and the neighbors be kind,

May you leave every worry and worry behind.

May your tanks stay empty and your hearts stay full,

And may every horizon feel like a beautiful pull.

And when the road gets long and the journey feels steep,

May you remember the sisters and the promises we keep ...

That somewhere out there, under that same big wide sky,

A friend from this table is waving goodbye.

And rolling right with you.

Mile by mile.

All the way home.

And so we'll raise a glass - or a cup some Georgia sweet tea will do -

To this table, this luncheon, and each & every one of you.

Same time next year, same community, same heart

Because the best part of arriving is knowing we'll restart

this whole rally again next year.

See you next year, friends.

Save us a seat.

One last thing before you go,  we want to stay connected with you long after today's luncheon is over.

Learn to RV has many free, closed Facebook groups & we want you to know that the closed part is intentional. It is closed for your protection.

Every single membership request is personally reviewed before anyone is approved to join. We take our community seriously, and we want every person inside that group to feel safe, respected, and at home.

It is a place where RVers of all experience levels come together to share, learn, and encourage one another on the road, without the noise and negativity that can come with open groups.

Just good people who love the RV life.

To join, simply search Learn to RV on Facebook, request to join, and answer all the membership questions. We do review every single one.

And yes — the photos from today's luncheon will be posted there. So if you want to relive this beautiful afternoon and maybe spot yourself at the table, come find us.

We would love to have you inside.

If you've been RVing for more than five minutes, you've heard the word "rally." Maybe you've scrolled past one on Facebook, or seen a campground packed with matching rigs and wondered what was going on. But if you've never been to one — or never thought you belonged at one — this one is for you. We sat down with Don Florczyk, the force behind The Flock RV Rally Company , for our Community Spotlight series on Learn to RV The Podcast. We're not going to spoil it here — you need to go listen, because this conversation goes places we did not expect. What we can do is give you the lay of the land: what rally culture is really about, whether you need to own a specific brand to show up, and where The Flock is headed in 2026 and 2027. Grab your camp chair. Let's talk about it.
