The Faces Behind Learn to RV (And How You Can Help Us Grow)
Jennifer+ Aggio • October 24, 2025
Learn to RV didn't start with us—but it became our passion, our mission, and our purpose.
Back in 2013, Doug Setzer had a vision: create a resource where people could actually learn to RV. Not just see pretty pictures or read surface-level tips, but get real, practical education about this lifestyle. Doug poured his heart into building a community, teaching, creating content, and helping thousands of people confidently hit the road.
When Doug needed to step away, Jennifer Schillaci knew she couldn't let Learn to RV disappear. This platform had helped so many people—and as a full-time RVer herself (13 years on the road with her husband Frank and their kids), she understood its value firsthand. She adopted Learn to RV from Doug with a commitment to honor his legacy while expanding the platform to reach even more RVers.
Jennifer didn't do it alone. She brought me (Jenn Aggio) alongside her to help grow Learn to RV into what it is today. As a full-time RVing family of six (plus a dog and a tortoise), my husband Philip and I live this lifestyle every single day. We know the challenges, the questions, the expensive mistakes, and the moments of doubt. We also know the joy, the freedom, and the incredible community that comes with RV life.
Together with Tasha, who joined us on the podcast, the three of us have built Learn to RV into more than just a blog—it's become a multi-platform resource with in-depth guides, weekly podcast episodes, free downloadable tools, and an engaged community of over 60,000 RV enthusiasts.
Why do we do this?
Because we believe in what Doug started. We believe RVers deserve honest, practical advice from people actually living this lifestyle, not just Instagram-perfect highlights. We believe in community over gatekeeping. We believe in education, transparency, and real conversations about what works, what doesn't, and what it really costs.
Learn to RV exists for every RVer—from dreaming about your first trip to navigating your thirteenth year on the road. Because the reality is, we're all still learning. This lifestyle constantly evolves, and so do we.
And we're just getting started.
“We're not just building a website; we're building a movement. Help us dream bigger and reach farther.”

Meet the Faces Behind Learn to RV
We're not faceless bloggers or corporate influencers. We're real people living full-time in RVs, figuring things out as we go, and sharing what we learn with a community we genuinely care about. Here's who we are.

Jennifer Schillaci - Owner & Community Builder
Jennifer has been living the RV life for 13 years alongside her husband Frank (a retired USMC veteran) and their seven children. Yes, seven. If anyone understands the chaos, joy, and logistics of family RV life, it's Jennifer.
Before RVs, Jennifer was a homeschool mom navigating constant moves due to Frank's military duty stations. She threw herself into building community wherever they landed—leading Girl Scout troops, organizing co-ops, and creating spaces where families could connect. When they hit the road full-time in 2013, she didn't stop. They became the Narrowroadschoolers, volunteering at rallies, creating educational resources, and helping other families figure out this roadschooling thing.
By 2020, Jennifer and Frank joined forces with RV Roofing Solutions, combining Frank's technical expertise with Jennifer's passion for serving the RV community. But when Doug Setzer needed to step away from Learn to RV, Jennifer saw an opportunity to do what she does best: build community. She adopted Learn to RV with a mission to unite RVers across platforms—not just roadschoolers, but everyone navigating this lifestyle.
Jennifer is the heart of Learn to RV. She's the one constantly saying, "You can't survive this lifestyle without community," and she means it. Her passion is connection—bringing people together, making them feel seen and supported, and creating spaces where RVers can learn from each other. She admits her community is on the road, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
What Jennifer brings to Learn to RV: Vision, community-building expertise, and a genuine belief that RVers are better together than isolated. She's also got 13 years of hard-earned wisdom and seven kids' worth of stories to prove it.

Jenn Aggio - Content Creator & Advocate for the Dreamers
That's me—Jenn (with two N's to avoid confusion with Jennifer!). I'm a full-time RVer traveling with my husband Philip, our four kids, a dog, and a tortoise in our 42-foot fifth wheel. We've been navigating this lifestyle for 8 years, and honestly? We're still learning something new every week.
I currently own and operate Designs On The Go, a graphic design business focusing on logo creation, branding, business development and beyond. So naturally, I'm the one behind much of the blog content you read here. I love diving deep into topics, asking the questions people are afraid to ask, and breaking down the real costs and logistics of RV life—because I believe everyone deserves honest answers, not Instagram-filtered fairy tales.
My superpower? Empathy and making sure everyone feel like they belong and heard. I can't stand gatekeeping or the "you're not a real RVer unless..." mentality. Whether you're dreaming about RV life from your couch, weekending in a pop-up, or full timing in a bus conversion, you belong here. I'm a huge supporter of the dreamers, the people who think "maybe someday" but aren't sure they can pull it off. I want you to know you can. And we're here to help.
I'm also a bit of a taskmaster (ask Jennifer and Tasha—they'll confirm). I'm the one pushing us to create better content, finish projects, and keep moving forward even when it feels overwhelming. I believe in what Learn to RV can become, and I'm willing to pour my time and energy into making it happen.
What I bring to Learn to RV: In-depth, practical content that actually helps you make decisions. Real stories from our family's life on the road. And a relentless belief that if you want to RV, you absolutely can—no matter what your situation looks like right now.

Tasha Martin - Copywriter, Adventurer & the Fun One
Tasha and her husband Matt hit the road full-time in 2022 with their kids, a 16-year-old cat named Edward, and a spunky pup called Stella. Their first year was a whirlwind: first truck (a 350 dually diesel), first RV, first camping trip in an RV, and their first rally in January 2023. That rally changed everything—they found their people, tasted what community could be, and never looked back.

That rally changed everything—they found their people, tasted what community could be, and never looked back.
Before RV life, Tasha was—well, everything. She's been a radio DJ, a TV news assistant director, a librarian, an amusement park ride operator, a nanny, a preschool teacher, and even a telemarketer (we forgive her for that one). Someone once described her as "distracted by the shiny," and honestly? That's perfect. Tasha wants to learn, see, and do it all, and that curiosity makes her an incredible storyteller.
Today, Tasha works remotely as a senior copywriter for a healthcare system, but her real passion is exploring wherever their travel trailer takes them. After work, she's out adventuring with her family, soaking up every experience the road has to offer.
Tasha is the person who brings life, laughter, and energy to everything she touches, and Learn To RV The Podcast is no exception.
What Tasha brings to Learn to RV: Fun, energy, laughter, and a genuine enthusiasm for this lifestyle. She's the one who reminds us not to take everything so seriously, to enjoy the journey, and to say yes to the adventures that make RV life worth it. Plus, her professional writing and branding expertise helps us communicate better and reach more people.
Together, We're Learn to RV

Jennifer builds the community. I create the content. Tasha brings the fun. And together, we're pouring everything we've got into making Learn to RV the best resource for RVers at every stage of the journey.
We believe in this platform. We believe in this community. And we believe that with your support, Learn to RV can become something even bigger—a thriving hub where RVers find answers, connection, and encouragement no matter where they are in their journey.
We're not just running a website. We're building something that could change the way RVers support each other. And we'd love for you to be part of it.
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
Your support helps us build the community we all need on this journey."

The Reality Behind the Scenes
Here's the honest truth: creating quality content takes time, resources, and money.
What goes into Learn to RV:
Research, writing, and editing in-depth blog posts (many over 4,000 words). Recording, editing, and producing weekly podcast episodes. Managing social media across multiple platforms. Building and maintaining this website. Creating free downloadable resources. Engaging with the community and answering your questions.
Right now, Learn to RV is a passion project. The three of us pour hours into this every week because we genuinely love helping people. But like any small business, it costs money to run—website hosting, podcast equipment, software subscriptions—and we're three real families trying to make this work, not a big corporation with deep pockets.
We're at a crossroads.
We can keep doing this on a shoestring budget and stay at the level we are, or we can grow Learn to RV into the comprehensive resource we envision—with more content, better tools, and even more ways to support the RV community.
To make that happen, we need support from people like you—people who find value in what we create and want to see Learn to RV thrive. When you support Learn to RV, you're supporting three families who believe in this mission.
Every great community starts with people who believe in something bigger than themselves.
Be part of what Learn to RV is becoming."
